Our responsibility for humans and animals
We want to be the point of contact for everything to do with animals and animal husbandry. This is how we promote happiness between animal lovers and their pets – for a lifetime. When our animals are happy, so are we: “Happier Pets. Happier people.”
Unfortunately, not every animal has a safe home. Numerous animals are waiting in shelters to be adopted. Animal welfare organizations across Europe are dependent on donations and volunteers. And many animal owners also need financial support to be able to continue caring for their animals.
We are committed to make a positive impact on society through our own initiative that supports and enhances the well-being of pets, their owners and pet lovers. The Fressnapf Group’s initiative “together for pets” consolidates the company’s and its customers’ social engagement. It supports animal welfare across Europe and promotes projects that strengthen the bond between humans and animals.

Our achievements in 2024
Since our foundation in 1990, we have been doing our utmost every day to make life together easier, better and happier for people and animals. As Fressnapf Group, we believe: If animals are healthy and happy, then so are we.
That is why we are committed to the relationship between humans and animals and support numerous social, charitable and animal welfare projects throughout Europe. Today, around 2,600 Fressnapf and Maxi Zoo stores in 13 European countries lay the foundation for our commitment to animals. Every country and every store supports local animal welfare organizations.
We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your trust in our “together for pets” initiative. Together we were once again able to make a difference for animals in need in 2024:
- Across Europe, we were able to support the work of animal welfare organizations with almost 1.5 million euros in 2024 and promote projects that strengthen the relationship between humans and animals.
- The sale of our “together for pets” bag in our stores and in online shops has raised over 924.000 euros.
